Love Chocolate?

This cake is my version of a "Chocolate Wasted" Cake. Very very rich. Must be consumed with icecream. Triple Chocolate fudge cake with one entire bag of chocolate morsels in the batter, Chocolate Cream Cheese Icing. Topped with Whoppers, chopped twix, and drizzled with a chocolate ganache. Sides coated with milk chocolate morsels. Candy could be swapped out for preferences.

SUGAR COOKIES

Today is sugar cookie day! Most people go out and buy the package of mix at the store and expect their cookies to look like the ones martha stewart has on her website. Wrong. Here is a great recipe for sugar cookies to help them retain their shape.

  • 6 cups flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 cups unsalted butter
  • 2 cups sugar (white granulated)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract or desired flavoring (Lemon is my favorite)
  • 1 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Mix dry ingredients and add a little at a time to butter mixture. Mix until flour is completely incorporated and the dough comes together.
  2. Chill for 1 to 2 hours
  3. Roll to desired thickness and cut into desired shapes. Bake on ungreased baking sheet at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until just beginning to turn brown around the edges. This recipe can make up to 5-dozen Small cookies.

Make sure to use Royal Icing. Everyone in the baking world knows you have to. Its a law. I've found using a spray bottle to thin the icing for flooding is best. I'll post pictures when they are finished!
